This is the title page of the Book of Psalms. This page identified that this bible was published by the American Bible Society. The ABS was formed in 1816.
The inside front cover indicates that Joel Moutell was born June 3, 1837 and Lavina A. Moutell was born February 8, 1848. It is said that this was their bible. Throughout the bible, the last name is spelled with one 'L' at the end of the name. Lavina's name written as her maiden name (May) is crossed out
On the last page before the back has birth dates for the following family members: Catherine G Moutell, Mishey A. Moutell, Mary Jane Moutell, and General Sherman Moutell.
Inside the back cover is this notation with the birthdate for Joel M. Moutell.
This page list the marriage between M. L. Williams and Mary J. Williams and the death of Mary at the age of 18 years, 10 months and 7 days.
