The undersigned members of the board of investigation for said county appointed by an act of the Legislature submitted an act to repair the damage occasioned by the destruction of the records and public documents of said county approved the first day of February A.D. 1843. Report that satisfactory evidence has this day been addenced before the said board that some time about the Month of October A.D. 1840 Micajah Etherton and Rachel his wife Executed acknowledged and delivered to Samuel Etherton for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars a general warrantee deed for

all in Township No. Ten South Range No. two West which said deed it apears was sometime in the spring of the year 1841 filed with the recorder of Jackson County was duly recorded, and not being taken from the office was consumed in the fire that destroyed the records of the
