I notice that Stella and Roberts daughter is listed as Laurie Marie. I believe that her name was Laura. Also we are looking for information on John Sloan, the father of Stella. He had two wives and we do not know their names. I know that at least the first one is burried in the Poplar Ridge cemetary. If you happen to go there would you be so kind as to get us her name, and any information on him.
As I said, he lived right close to the poplar ridge cemetery, and as I remember his wife and all her ancestors are buried there in the cemetary.
Laura Etherton was born in Murphysboro, right close to where the Pizza hut restaurant is now, but on the other side of the street.
I believe that a lot of the Sloans lived in Marion, which may be why Stella and Robert were married there. Naomi Sloan Barger and her husband Rheamon were in some for of political office there.
Laura Ethertons birthdate is May 24, 1910. She married John Robert Paulsen in Portland, Oregon . Had three sons, Gerald Loren, Donald Robert, and Clifford Allen.
