MURPHYSBORO: Lucille Evelyn Adams, 81, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 1990, in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Pettett Funeral Home and burial at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Adams was a homemaker. She was a member of Dutch Ridge Baptist Church in Pomona. She was born July 4, 1908, in Pomona to Charles and Hattie (Fleming) Grammer. She married Bert Adams in 1931, and he died in 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Carma Bratton and Bessie Maynor, both of Murphysboro; two brothers Nelson Grammer of Alto Pass and Chester Grammer of Murphysboro; four sisters, Bernice Allison, Inez Blessing, Gussie Brunty, and Ova Etherton, all of Murphysboro; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two brothers also preceded her in death.
