Allen Family Reunion Page

How it all Started

This Allen Family Reunion is a reunion of all the descendants of Adderson Judson Allen and Mary Lou Ellen Louton. I guess the first of these family reunions was in the early sixties as the family gathered in California (see photo). As the family was spread across the country in New York, California, Texas and Louisiana, getting everyone together at the same time was difficult and not really attempted. As people would travel or go on vacation, there would be mini-reunions. In 1978, Ellen passed away, and all six of the children gathered in California (see photo). The six of them decided to not let so much time pass before getting together again, and in fact decided to meet together on an annual basis at Thanksgiving.
