Thomas Barone, Jr. 89, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away at 9: 52 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, Illinois.
Thomas was born on May 16, 1922, in Murphysboro, Illinois to Joe Barone and Rose Barone.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Barone was a retired carpenter and a farmer. He was best known for selling his produce from his farm. He was an avid gardener and he enjoyed going to the Kinkaid Marina.
Thomas was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.
He married Doris Williams on July 11, 1950, in Murphysboro, Illinois, and she survives.
Other survivors include one daughter and son in law Sandy and Michael B. McCoy of Murphysboro; one grandson Michael T. McCoy of Murphysboro; and one sister Jenny Rendleman of Carbondale.
He was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, and his parents.
