I received the following in an e-mail from Jon Etherton on November 1, 1996.
"I came across your web page when doing a search on "Etherton" via Alta Vista. My grandfather was Lewis Washington Etherton. He homesteaded in Canada before settling in north Idaho. As far as I know, his father was George Washington Etherton, and he had a sister Julia, but that doesn't seem to match up with your information. I'll have to get more details."
I received the following in an e-mail from Jon Etherton on November 4, 1996.
"I talked to my uncle (Another William E. Etherton) over the weekend and got some clarification. My grandfather Lewis Washington Etherton's father was William E. Etherton, born 1856. He was married to Julia Williams. When she died, he married her sister Lillian. Uncle Bill has some fairly detailed information, but I haven't been able to get a copy yet.
My grandfather married Hannah Sutton and they had four boys, Bill, Dan, Jack and Bud."
