Description:
Ottie Earl Moutell was born December 22, 1906 in Howardton, the son of Morgan and Cora Basden Moutell. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Lela Etherton of Murphysboro.
He married Ruby Ellis on May 24, 1931 in Marion. Survivors include his wife of Granite City and children, Mrs. Pauline Hale and Bill Moutell, both of Murphysboro, and Mrs. Cathy Leggans and Charles Moutell, both of Granite City.
Mr. Moutell was a retired section hand for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, and was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Way. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Granite City.
Mr. Moutell died at the age of 64 in St. Joseph Hospital at Highland, IL after a long illness. He was a former Murphysboro resident.
