Willis Hagler was born July 8, 1905 in Pomona to Leander and Elizabeth (Grammer) Hagler. He leaves two sisters, Golda Anderson of Centralia and Genevieve Simons of Carbondale.

He married Verna Davis in 1939. She survives as does one daughter, Betty Stockdale of Vienna.

Mr. Hagler was a retired psychiatric aide for the Illinois Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities.

He was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church; Masonic Lodge 498, Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Southern Illinois in Belleville; AINAD Shrine Tempe of East St. Louis; Order of the Eastern Star; White Shrine of Jerusalem; Senior Citizens; American Legion Post 127; DAV Chapter 69; and the Low 12 Club. He was an Army veteran.
