WESTFORD - Cornelius "Nick" Allen, 83, passed away Friday, Dec 13, 2002, at Bassett Healthcare Hospital in Cooperstown.
He was born May 6, 1919 in Bumblebee, Ark., the son of Addison and Ellen (Lutan [sic]) Allen.
He married Roslyn Lewis in 1944. She predeceased him in 1980. He then married Mary A. Gartung in 1984 in Schenevus.
Nick was a United States Army Air Force veteran, serving in World War II in the 1040th Air Engineer Squadron.
Nick was a prominent businessman. He owned and operated the Main Auto in Patchogue, retiring to Westford in 1983.
