CARBONDALE - Ruby O. Morgan, 91, of 500 Lewis Lane, formerly of Vergennes, died Friday, May 17, 1996, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with the Rev. Phil Poe officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morgan was a supervisor for Clothing Manufacturing Co. in St. Louis.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Vergennes and the Retired Teachers Association.
She was born Sept. 14, 1904, in Pomona Township, to Albert and Maude (Lipe) Penrod.
She married Charles W. Morgan. He died Sept. 30, 1992.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Mary Lou Dysinger of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Ray Penrod of Carbondale; two nephews, John Penrod of Carbondale and Paul Penrod of Murphysboro; one niece, Sibyle Batson of Murphysboro; one sister-in-law, Carrie Penrod of Murphysboro; and nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Willard Penrod.
