ISAAC NEWTON LAWSON
Isaac Newton Lawson, son of Adam and Melissa Lawson, was born at Hartford, Mo., March 16, 1861, and departed this life at his home in Exline, Iowa, January 20, 1933, at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 4 days. His family and three brothers were at his bedside.
He was united in marriage to Mary Adeline Ridgeway, November 2, 1882. To this union thirteen children were born, four of whom preceded their father in death. A baby, Laura, at the age of two weeks; John Edward at the age of tem months; a baby son at infancy; and Sarah Evaline Cline Morrow at the age of thirty-five years. He leaves to mourn his departure his kind and loving wife, three daughters, all being married: Jane Louisa Cline, Lettice Cline and Rachel Sparks, all of Exline, Iowa. Six sons: Jesse Smith, married, of Omhama, Mo.; Alva Chester, at home; Noah Daniel, married, of Exline, Iowa; Adam Erie, single, of Harlan, Iowa; Pearl, single, at home. He also leaves to mourn his departure four brothers: Elbert E., of Baring, Mo.; Thomas William Sherman, of Greencastle, Mo.; James C., of Elko, Mo.; and Henry Harrison, of Hartford.
He confessed his faith in Christ and has been true to his faith. Often he mentioned his willingness to meet his savior and see the beautiful home prepared for him. He spent his entire life caring for his loved ones. He was willing to do everything possible to make himself very agreeable in his sickness. To the very last he was a loving husband, father and brother.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. M. Harman Sunday, January 22, 1933, at Hartford, Mo.
