MURRAY -- Dr. Robert C. Etherton, 90, of Murray died at 1:12 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He served on the Murray Electric System Board for many years and was a veteran of World War II.
Dr. Etherton is survived by two daughters, Kathy Lynn Goodman of Paducah and Cindy Lou McLaren of Murray; one son, Michael Wayne Etherton of Grand Rapids, Michigan; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by by his wife, Imogene Chrisman Etherton, and a brother. His parents were Robert Henry Etherton and Gladys Nell Elmore Etherton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with the Rev. Boyd Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
