J. W. Grammar did at his home at Alto Pass Friday, April 7, at 5:30 a.m. After a month's illness. He was sixty years of age at the time of death.

Mr. Grammar is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Grammar, and twelve children, Ardell Grammar, Carbondale; Mrs. Hallie Lindsey, Granite City; Mrs. Bessie Roberts, Murphysboro; Hobart Grammar, Alto Pass; Earl Grammar, Alto Pass; Mrs. Lora Buettner, East St. Louis; Claude Grammar, Carbondale, Mrs. Thelma Lochner, Granite City; Jack Grammar, Alto Pass; Jerald Grammar, Alto Pass; and Mrs. Chloe Rendleman, Napa, California.

Other surviving relatives include three brothers. George Grammar, Carbondale; Guy Grammar, Carbondale; Grant Grammar, Alto Pass; and four sisters, Mrs. Dell Smith, Thebes; Mrs. Matt Bryant, Alto Pass; Mrs. Lib Hagler, Etherton Switch; and Mrs. Blanche McMillan, Murphysboro.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Dutch Ridge church with the Rev. S. H. Nance in charge and interment will be in Dutch Ridge Cemetery.
