Patricia Lou Etherton, 87, of Alto Pass and formerly of Pomona, passed away at 8:25 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018, in Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL.
Patricia was born on April 20, 1931, in Murphysboro, a daughter to the late Clarence and Lucille (Raines) Perschbacher.
She was united in marriage to Donald Wayne Etherton on January 27, 1948, in Paragould, AR; Donald preceded her in death on October 27, 2008.
Patricia was retired from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and had been employed in printing services at S.I.U.C. She loved to spend time with family and a good friend Faye Kimmel.
Private graveside services were held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park near Murphysboro.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Alto Pass First Baptist Church with Pastor Cliff Waller officiating. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Survivors include one son, Charles (Yong Hui) Etherton of Fullerton, CA; one grandson, Daniel Etherton of Fullerton, CA; two granddaughters, Vanessa (Tom) Ford of East Alton, IL, and Amber (Brian) Fleming of Grafton, IL; great-grandchildren Dylan (Brianna) Ford of East Hampton MA, Carlie, Eric and Genna Fleming of Grafton IL; sister and brother-in-Law, Judy (Robert) Marble of Las Cruces NM; and three nieces and two nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Crews on August 22, 1985, and great-grandson Drake Fleming on August 17, 2015.
