Mrs. O. E. Fletcher
1820-1913
At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Anderson, Pomona, July 5, Mrs. O. E. Fletcher passed from this life, having reached the ripe age of 93 years, 8 months, and 15 days. She was born in Tennessee on March 20, 1820, coming to Illinois with her father in 1839.
Rev. O. E. Fletcher and Celia Ellis were married March 15, 1840. To this union four children were born, three boys and one girl. Of the three boys, John, a veteran of the Civil War, survives at the age of 72. One died in infancy and the other in the army. Mrs. Fletcher united with the Christian church in 1841 and continued in its faith until the end. She was laid to rest beside her husband who preceded her in death in 1889. She leaves one son, nine grand children, thirty-three great grand children, and five great, great grand children.
