Description:

My name is Diana Wyant my great great grandparents are William George Baker
& Rebecca Hiller. I figured you didn't have much on here since there wasn't
any information on your web site. Here is what I know. She married a
William C Ripley Oct. 7, 1857 in Jackson Co. Il. She was on the 1860 Jackson
Co. Il. census with her son William H. Ripley 1 year. William C her husband
died while she was pregnant. She remarried a William George Baker Oct. 28,
1861 Jackson Co. Il. Found them on the 1870 Jackson Co. Il. census with the
following children William Ripley her first marriage son age 11, George W.
8, Jane 5, Louisa 2, Medora 4/12. Information I have from another family
member there was a Charles that was born after George then there was
Missouri Zoe or Sue Baker, Murdock (Dock) Baker that is my great
grandfather, Demsia (Dempsey). Now I was told that Jane & Medora both died
of the same thing.

Dock Baker married Mollie Stanton 6/29/1895 They had William Freeman
7/3/1896 Married Maggie Law 5/9/1914, Burley 3/2/1903 Married twice Sally
Short in In. second marriage Dorothy Edwards 5/11/1932, George Murdock
5/6/1904 married Cora Maynor 11/4/1922 They had no children William &
Maggie had 3 that were given up for adoption after they both died of TB
William died 7/24/1918, Maggie died 5/16/1920. Burley had Donald Lee Baker
and Rose Marie Baker. Burley changed his name to Charles Baker we have no
idea why.

I figure since you didn't know about the Bakers you haven't done any
research on them but if you run into anything about them I would love to
hear from you. I have gone to the William George Baker born in Marble Hill
Mo. about 1817 We think he was married there with children most likely. He
left there in 1858. I have no idea on his parents or his life bfore the
time he married Rebecca.
