Description:
Eugenia Caveglia was born August 21, 1919 in Kinmundy to Lewis E. Etherton and Dorothy I. Dollen Etherton. Her siblings include Lewis E. Etherton of Collinsville, Lora Jean ott of Sterling, and Betty Etherton of Wood River.
She married George D. Caveglia on August 2, 1964, in Murphysboro. He survives.
Mrs. Caveglia was a retired fourth-grade teacher who had taught for 18 years at Lincoln School, Murphysboro. She had also worked with her father, Lewis E. "Pop" Etherton, who was Jackson County superintendent of schools.
Mrs. Caveglia was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, American Association of Retired Persons and the First Baptist Church, Murphysboro. She died at the age of 67 in St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
