He was survived by his wife, Lora Newcomb Etherton; 3 sons, Crockett Etherton of Knoxville, TN, Lyman Etherton of Sevierville, TN and Wayne Etherton, Sevierville; 1 daughter, Mrs. Ina Thomas; 2 sisters, Mrs. Nan Thomas and Mrs. Viola McGill; brother, Arthur Etherton.
