Samuel Rains, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 1, 1942, in Murphysboro, Ill., son of Milo S. and Florence A. Blackwell Rains. Rains had worked at several restaurants in Cape Girardeau. Survivors include two brothers, Arthur "Bud" Burton and Milo "Sonny" Rains of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Florence Arriola of Santa Ynez, Calif., Lillian Brown, Linda Pulliam, Mary Sparks and Becky Rains, all of Cape Girardeau. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Kitchen officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery
