James “Jim” Etherton, 49, of Rochester, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at his residence.
Jim was born on November 24, 1966 in St. Louis, MO the son of Jack and Betty Long Etherton. He married Tammy Payne in October 1996.
Jim was employed by Hagerty Industrial Supply who owned Prairieland Distribution, Inc. whom he was president. He was a member of Rochester Christian Church, Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, spending time with friends, and watching his kids play sports.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy; son, Collin; daughters, Emily and Kelsie; mother, Betty Etherton; brother, Joe (Karen) Etherton; sister, Ann Frescura; In-Laws, Tom and Nancy Payne; sister-in-law, Tonya (Kris) Hahn; nieces and nephews, Jack and Bobbie Etherton, Jacquie (Andy) Floyd, Tori Frescura, Mikell (Troy) Etherton and son Cameron, Kevin and Kameron Hahn and Shirley (Ron) and daughter Bree Rentfro.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Rochester Christian Church. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Rochester Christian Church with Reverend Brad Ferris officiating.
