Two Murphysboro people were killed and two persons seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a three-car collision on Rt. 13 between Murphysboro and Carbondale.

Killed outright in the three-car pileup were Dickie G. Tuttle, 25, one of the drivers, and Mrs. Joyce Inez Poole, 38, mother of one of the other drivers....

Mr. Tuttle was born Nov. 12, 1942, the son of Clarence and Maryetta Douglas Tuttle of Murphysboro.

He married Darline Rains Sept. 4, 1965, in Murphysboro.

Mr. Tuttle had served in the U. S. Marine Corps, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7190, in Murphysboro.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Murphysboro.

Mr. Tuttle was employed as a lineman by General Telephone Company.

He leaves his wife; a daughter, Debbra Lynn; his parents; a sister, Mrs. aryetta Hanson of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; and grandmothers Mrs. Cecil Douglas and Mrs. Rudolph Life, both of Murphysboro.
