Description:
Clarence E. Tuttle, of Route 1, Murphysboro, died at age 63 on Wednesday, August, 14, 1985, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born in Murphysboro on December 15, 1921, the son of Vallie and Mable Tuttle Etherton.
He married Maryetta Douglas in Jackson, Missouri on October 11, 1941.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mary Etta Green of Springfield; one son, Michael Lee Tuttle of Murphysboro; four grandchildren; one sister, Mary McClure of Murphysboro; and two brothers, Charles and Jack Etherton, both of Murphysboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; and his grandparents, Robert and Mary Alice 'Hagler' Tuttle, by whom he was raised.
Mr. Tuttle was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
