Frances F. Klink, 79, of Murphysboro, passed away at 1:57 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019, at the Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab in Pinckneyville, Illinois.
Frances was born on March 9, 1940, in Pomona, Illinois, to Charles T. Basden and Lena Agness (Tripp) Basden.
She had operated her own cleaning business for many years.
Mrs. Klink was attending the First Assembly of God in Murphysboro, and she was a member of the Mt. Carbon Christian Church in Murphysboro.
She was a "jack of all trades" and could do anything including carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. She loved growing flowers and had a green thumb. She also loved camping and animals, and she never met a stranger.
Mrs. Klink was a member of the Jackson County DAV Chapter # 69 Ladies Auxiliary and she volunteered for over thirty years at the Southern Illinois Christian Camp at Makanda.
Frances married Harold George Klink on January 18, 1958, in Murphysboro, and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2005.
Other survivors include four children Larry F. Klink, Kevin R. Klink, Linda F. (William F.) Durham, and Shelley R. Imhoff, all of Murphysboro;
eight grandchildren Tina (Michael) Lustig, Haley Jo Klink, Joshua D. Durham, Christopher M. (Amber) Durham, Nicholas Paul Durham, Jamilyn R. Durham, Alex R. Imhoff, and Jacob R. Imhoff;
fifteen great grandchildren Deuser Lustig, Demi Lustig, Madison Durham, Dazi Copple, Donna Copple, Matthew Durham, Shelbey Copple, Kyle Durham, Jacqee Durham, Mason Durham, Morgan Durham, Quinten Durham, Maddox Durham, Natalie Durham, and Elena Imhoff.
She was preceded in death by one sister and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Akins officiating and burial at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
