CC Allen to Jane Cook

State of Louisiana, Parish of Bossier

Know all men by these presents that we CC Allen as principal and ? as security acknowledge to owe to Joesph Walker Governor of the State of Louisiana or his successors or successors in office the sum of three hundres dollars; so the payment of which we hereby bind ourselves our heirs and administrators in solido - given under our hand at Bellevue this 11th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bounden CC Allen has this day obtained a license from the Clerk of the District Court of the Parish of Bossier to marry with Jane Cook. Now if at the time said license was granted there existed no legal impediment or obsticle to the celebration of the said marriage then and in such case the above obligation to be null and void. Otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue in the law.
