Reason Woosley, of Murphysboro, died at age 80 on Friday, October 21, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was born in Ready, Kentucky, on Tuesday, March 17, 1914, the son of Cleveland Woosley and Nancy (Woosley) Woosley.
He married Dorothy McWhirter on October 15, 1934.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Frank Woosley of Port Charlotte, Florida, Jack Woosley of Rock Falls, and Bob Woosley of Murphysboro; three daughters, Barbara Haring of Morrison, Donna Snider of Duress, Albania, and Kathy Maclin of Murphysboro; four sisters, Fronia Shain of Valley Station, Kentucky, Rocie Shain of Caneyville, Kentucky, Peggy Brown of Jerseyville, and Grace Franks of Milwood, Kentucky; one brother, Dewey Woosley of Murphysboro; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one son, Bill Woosley, on April 23, 1967.
Mr. Woosley was a retired welder and a member of the Mount Carbon Christian Church in Murphysboro.
