Loretta Marie Reiman, 83, of Murphysboro, passed away at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Manor Court in Carbondale, Illinois.
Loretta was born on December 18, 1936, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Edward L. Koenig and Catherine (Gillooly) Koenig.
She had worked many years in the laundry department of Jackson County Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro.
Mrs. Reiman was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Murphysboro, and a member of the St. Andrew Altar Society. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post # 7190 in Murphysboro.
Loretta married Teddie Joe Reiman on January 11, 1954, in Murphysboro, and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2019.
Other survivors include two sons Ed and Frances Reiman and Mike and Mary Beth Reiman, all of Murphysboro;
five grandchildren Eddward Reiman of Murphysboro, Jeff (Amy) Reiman of Bloomington, IL, Tim (Ashleigh) Reiman of Sesser, Jared (Ashton) Clutts of Carbondale and T. J. (Traci) Reiman of Herrin; four great grandchildren Adam Reiman, Adah Reiman, Ryne Reiman, and Kennedy Clutts; and one sister Betty Perschbacher of Murphysboro.
She was preceded in death by one son Patrick Reiman, one brother Ed Koenig, one sister Jeanne Etherton, and her parents.
There will be private family gravesite services held at this time and at a later date a Memorial Mass will be at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Please continue to check back with the website on the date and time.
