Randall "Randy" Lee Baseden, 55, of Murphysboro, passed away at 9:27 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois.
Randall was born on March 20, 1965, in Murphysboro, to Billy Lee Baseden and Doris Jean (Lawrence) Baseden.
Mr. Baseden had worked a month shy of thirty years at Penn Aluminum in Murphysboro, where he retired as a De-Greaser.
He loved his family including his grand babies, even the one he didn't get to hold.
Randy married Cheryl Warren and she preceded him in death on December 15, 1995.
He is survived by one daughter Jennifer Baseden of Murphysboro; many adopted daughters including Jennifer Poole of Hurst; five grandchildren Braxton and Hunter, Bradley and Kaya, and Tracey; five sisters Patty Jean (David) Imhoff of East Carondelet, IL, Sue Fowler of Johnston City, Cheryl Lynn Varnum of Carterville, Debbie (Jason) Thompson of DeSoto, and Janet Kay (Victor) Carroll of Dupo, IL; and several nieces and nephews including Kailey Townley of Gorham.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter and his parents.
His body will be cremated.
Gravesite services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Murdale Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
