Mildred McCann Wilson, born Aug. 4, 1913, was the daughter of David H. and Cora L. McCann.
She married George Wunderle on July 21, 1920 [sic - should be 1940], at the First Christian Church in Murphysboro. She married Joseph T. Wilson on July 6, 1949, in Las Vegas. He died May 29, 1963.
Mrs. Wilson graduated from Murphysboro Township High School in 1931 and from Southern Illinois Teachers College in 1934. In 1938, she was hired to teach 4th grade at Logan School in Murphysboro until her marriage in 1940 to George Wunderle. By 1948, she returned to Logan School and taught the kindergarten class.
Mrs. Wilson belonged to the First Christian Church in Murphysboro. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau sorority, the Junior Women's Club, SIU Alumni Association, St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Willette "Bill" Rosenberger and by her parents.
