Jerry Donald Ellis, 74, of DeSoto, Missouri, entered into rest on November 29, 2022, in Festus, Missouri.
He was born March 6, 1948, in Murphysboro, Illinois, son of Daniel E. Ellis and Alice (nee Boyer) Ellis.
Jerry worked as a Truck Driver for Thyssen Krupp.
He was a member of YMCA. Jerry had a special love for his YMCA family, he enjoyed having coffee with his friends, playing pickle ball, building model planes, and spending time with his puppy "Buddy" during his retirement.
Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Bonnie Ellis of DeSoto, Missouri, son, Robert E Ellis of Louisville, Kentucky, son, Jason Welker of Pevely, Missouri, son, Corey (Bobbie) Welker of Festus, Missouri, daughter, Amanda (Robert Peters) Wester of O'Fallon, Missouri, daughter, Michelle (Butch) Whitehead of Bonne Terre, Missouri, brothers, Bill (Sharon) Ellis of Pevely, Missouri, Dale (Bridgett) Ellis of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Darlene (Mike) Porter of Murphysboro, Illinois, brother-in-law, Glen (Jodonna) Neifert of Imperial, Missouri, sister-in-law, Rose (Jimmy Johnson) Whitney of Herculaneum, Missouri, grandsons, Aaron Wester Timothy Williams, Christopher Lipina, Peyton Whitehead, numerous loving nieces and nephews and several grand pets.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Daniel E. Ellis, mother, Alice Ellis, sister Joyce Boyer.
Services will be held at Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto Chapel, December 5, 2022, at 12:00 pm with Pastor Michael McGee officiating.
Interment will follow in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery, DeSoto, Missouri.
Friends will be received at Mahn Funeral Home, DeSoto, Missouri Monday, December 5, 2022, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
