Description: CARBONDALE -- Vivian Tripp Parrish, 84, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at the Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro.
Vivian was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Pomona, the daughter of Raleigh and Claudia (Nance) Tripp.
She married Thomas V. Parrish on Jan. 12, 1946, in Murphysboro.
Mrs. Parrish is survived by her husband, Thomas; son, Russell Etherton; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Parrish Ahlers and Dr. Max Ahlers of Evansville, Ind.; grandson, Christopher Parrish of Evansville, Ind.; granddaughter, Meredith Parrish of Ft. Collins, Colo.; four sisters, Verna Hagler of Murphysboro, Leena Tweedy of Vienna, Connie Williams of Mesa, Ariz., and Virginia Troin of Collinsville; one brother, Gordon Tripp of Herrin; and 16 nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Parrish was preceeded in death by her parents, two brothers, Preston Tripp and Ogle Nance, and son-in-law, Gary Parrish.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
