Description: MURPHYSBORO – Ray Allen Johnson, 60, of Desloge, Mo., formerly of Murphysboro, died on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Burial will be in St. Francois Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was a licensed-bonded livestock dealer in Missouri and Illinois and was an auctioneer at Farmington Sale Barn.

He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, grandpa, brother and uncle.

He was born on Aug. 9,1939, in Murphysboro to Lloyd Allen and Mamie Ethel (Ellis) Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice (Jenkins) Johnson of Desloge; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Allen and Linda Johnson of Hicksville, Ohio and Steven Ray and Julie Johnson of Stoneford; two stepsons, Corey Hulsey and wife, Connie, of Farmington, Mo. and Cody Hulsey of the home; a stepdaughter, Julia (Hulsey) Pettus of Bonne Terre, Mo.; brother and sister-in-law, Murl E. and Sue Lynn Johnson of Murphysboro; half-brother, Lloyd Laverne .Johnson and wife, Helen, of Granite City; eight grandchildren; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Dolores Jenkins of Bonne Terre; and his grandmother, Hattie Ellis of Murphysboro.

His parents and a half sister, Beulah Mae, preceded him in death.
