Michael Wayne Etherton, age 62, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away on December 12, 2025.
Born on August 4, 1963, Michael was a devoted husband, father, and proud grandfather. He loved Jesus deeply and lived his life grounded in faith, love, and devotion to his family.
Michael will be remembered for his strong faith, his loving heart, and the deep bond he shared with those closest to him. He will be forever loved and dearly missed.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Etherton; his daughter, Autumn; two siblings, Tony (Ron) Williams and Richard Etherton; sister-in-law, Linda Etherton; mother-in-law, Pat Dixon; along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and his two cherished grand pups, whom he absolutely adored. He was a proud Poppy, and his love for his family was evident in everything he did.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Conrad Etherton, Dee Etherton, Patricia Etherton, and Peggy Etherton; and his father-in-law, William Dixon, whom he dearly loved and admired.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Seth Worthen officiating at Crain Pleasant Grove Murdale Funeral Home with visitation being held prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Entombment will follow the service at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum.
