Barbara A. Gillooly-Dixon, age 60, of Murphysboro, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born on October 14, 1965 to James Gillooly and Barbara Sue (Lambert) Gillooly in Murphysboro, Illinois.
Barbara was the fifth of six sisters. She loved her family very much. She loved spending time with her daughter, loved to eat good food, and loved being outdoors. She enjoyed being with her friends and spending time with them.
Survivors include her daughter, Emily A. Dixon; sisters, Jamie (Ronnie) Tuttle, Janet Stein, Regina (Ronnie) Reed, and Diane (Scott) McBrien; a bonus daughter, Jordan (Zachary) Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Jones; grandparents, Odell and Verda Lambert; and her loving dog, Freckles.
No formal services will be held at this time.
