Hollis Lawson had the misfortune to wreck his car, and older model Chevrolet on Thanksgiving day. He was taking his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lawson and small children Alva Edgar, Bonnie Lee and Dorothy Vera, also Mrs. Mary Lawson and Mrs. Jane Cline of Exline to visit relatives near Omaha, Mo., when he lost control of the car on a bridge near the Otis Cline home. The car turned over and was badly damaged. The doors torn off and a fence post run through the top. Luckily all the occupants of the car escaped without injury.
