Louie A. Hale
Louie A. Hale, 71, of 434 S. 15th, Murphysboro, died Monday, Oct. 22, 1984, at his home.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of the First Christian Church in Murphysboro. Mr. Hale also was a member of Carpenter's Local 841 in Carbondale and VFW 7190 in Murphysboro. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Born Feb. 17, 1913, in Murphysboro, he was the son of George H. and Ellen Frances Douglas Hale. They preceded him in death.
On March 18, 1950, he married Mabel M. Bridwell in Piggott, Ark. She died Jan, 6, 1983.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores A. Brown of Murphysboro and Carolyn S. Fletcher of Vergennes; and two sons, William W. Holmes of Riverdale, Ga., Bobby Holmes of Murphysboro; one sister, Delphia Hale of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with burial in Murdale Gardens of Memory.
