Know all men by these presents that I Micajah Etherton of the state & County afore said have constituted and appointed Vallintine [name] of the same place my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name to ask & discover from the payments any other person all my pay due or coming to me for my service performed as a private & soldier in Captain Branch Jones company of East Tennessee Militia ??? in service of the United States. ??? tour of duty in the Mississippi Territory Commencing on the 13th of November 1814 & ending on the 13 of May 1815 as per discharge in my name to execute the ??? ??? for the same.
